Surat at-Taariq · The Morning Star

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. 1p. 591

   وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلطَّارِقِ ۝١ayah 1

   By the sky and at-Tariq.

2. 2

   وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلطَّارِقُ ۝٢ayah 2

   But what will let you know what at-Tariq is?

3. 3

   ٱلنَّجْمُ ٱلثَّاقِبُ ۝٣ayah 3

   The Piercing Star.

4. 4

   إِن كُلُّ نَفْسٍ لَّمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌ ۝٤ayah 4

   There is no soul without a Protector over it.

5. 5

   فَلْيَنظُرِ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ ۝٥ayah 5

   Let man consider what he was created from.

6. 6

   خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءٍ دَافِقٍ ۝٦ayah 6

   He was created from gushing liquid.

7. 7

   يَخْرُجُ مِنۢ بَيْنِ ٱلصُّلْبِ وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِ ۝٧ayah 7

   Issuing from between the backbone and the breastbones.

8. 8

   إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَجْعِهِۦ لَقَادِرٌ ۝٨ayah 8

   He is certainly able to return him.

9. 9

   يَوْمَ تُبْلَى ٱلسَّرَآئِرُ ۝٩ayah 9

   On the Day when the secrets are disclosed.

10. 10

    فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن قُوَّةٍ وَلَا نَاصِرٍ ۝١٠ayah 10

    He will have no strength, and no supporter.

11. 11

    وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجْعِ ۝١١ayah 11

    By the sky that returns.

12. 12

    وَٱلْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدْعِ ۝١٢ayah 12

    And the earth that cracks open.

13. 13

    إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلٌ فَصْلٌ ۝١٣ayah 13

    It is a Decisive Word.

14. 14

    وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلْهَزْلِ ۝١٤ayah 14

    It is no joke.

15. 15

    إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْدًا ۝١٥ayah 15

    They plot and scheme.

16. 16

    وَأَكِيدُ كَيْدًا ۝١٦ayah 16

    But I plot and scheme.

17. 17

    فَمَهِّلِ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًۢا ۝١٧ayah 17

    Therefore, give the blasphemers respite, a brief respite.
