Surat al-Qaari'a · The Calamity

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. 1

   ٱلْقَارِعَةُ ۝١ayah 1

   The Shocker.

2. 2

   مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ ۝٢ayah 2

   What is the Shocker?

3. 3

   وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ ۝٣ayah 3

   What will explain to you what the Shocker is?

4. 4

   يَوْمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلْفَرَاشِ ٱلْمَبْثُوثِ ۝٤ayah 4

   The Day when the people will be like scattered moths.

5. 5

   وَتَكُونُ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَٱلْعِهْنِ ٱلْمَنفُوشِ ۝٥ayah 5

   And the mountains will be like tufted wool.

6. 6

   فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ ۝٦ayah 6

   As for he whose scales are heavy.

7. 7

   فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ ۝٧ayah 7

   He will be in a pleasant life.

8. 8

   وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ ۝٨ayah 8

   But as for he whose scales are light.

9. 9

   فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٌ ۝٩ayah 9

   His home is the Abyss.

10. 10

    وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهْ ۝١٠ayah 10

    Do you know what it is?

11. 11

    نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌۢ ۝١١ayah 11

    A Raging Fire.
