At the end of the meal, say:
“Allah, feed the one who has fed me and give drink to the one who has given me drink.
(Source: Muslim 3:126)
There is no specific wording you must use when asking Allah for something or sending peace on the Prophet. That is why scholars compiled books on supplications that righteous people used to make. However, it may be preferable to use wording similar to what the Qur’an and Sunnah used.
It is good to congratulate parents when they have a new child by praying for them. This may be done by asking Allah to bless the child, let it grow up to be righteous, be a comfort to parents, have good health, and that the parents are thankful for the blessing.
بِسْـمِ اللّهِ وَلَجْنـَا، وَبِسْـمِ اللّهِ خَـرَجْنـَا، وَعَلَـى رَبِّنـَا تَوَكّلْـنَا.
سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ.
